Choosing Duvets and Pillows

SIZE GUIDE

First things first, let’s choose the size of your bedding. At Bedeck we know about comfort, so we recommend you go one size bigger than your mattress - and even bigger still if you are sleeping beside a duvet thief.

TOG EXPLAINED

The temperature of your bed can make or break a good night’s sleep. To make sure your duvet matches the season, have a look at the tog rating. A duvet with a higher tog traps in more warm air, keeping you warmer throughout the night.

4.5 TOG

The lighter the tog, the cooler the duvet. This rating is ideal for hot summer nights and warmer climates.

10.5 TOG

A medium tog will give you a good temperature balance all year round, especially if you like keeping the heat on during colder months.

13.5 TOG

With 13.5 togs of pure pleasure, this duvet will keep you toasty on even the coldest of nights.

DUVET & PILLOW FILLINGS

Feather or down? Didn’t know there was a difference? Well, down is slightly lighter than feathers, but both are natural, super soft and equally warm. Being anti-allergy assured, synthetic duvets are just as popular, with some even replicating the luxury feel of a natural filling.

DOWN

Our super soft down filled duvets are light and warm. With 100% Hungarian Down Goose, they insulate your body while letting your skin breathe, so you can sleep soundly all night.

FEATHER

Some people sleep better with a heavier feeling duvet around their shoulders. Our 100% duck feather duvets make it extra cosy, but like down, are naturally breathable. This is the perfect duvet for that cloud-like feeling.

MICROFIBRE
OR HOLLOW FIBRE

If you love the thought of a down duvet but allergies make it impossible – say hello to synthetic. Microfibre and hollow fibre fillings are equally warm, refreshingly light and anti allergy assured but the main difference between the two is hollow fibre’s slightly improved breathability.

DUVET & PILLOW CARE

WASHING

Always check the label. With a range of duvets to choose from, it’s hard to know how to care for them. Most synthetic duvets are fully washable, whilst natural duvets take extra care and should be cleaned by a specialist.

DAILY CARE

When making your bed, give the duvet a good shake. This fluffs up the filling and creates air movement, which freshens the bed. As we turn in our sleep the filling can move with us, so regular shaking (from side to side) can bring the filling back to its rightful position.

MATTRESS & PILLOW PROTECTORS

Prolong and protect your mattress and pillows with our plush cotton protectors. Quilted for supreme comfort, these non-allergenic covers give your bed a boost of luxury. The modern zip detail on the pillow protectors and the elasticated skirt on the mattress make them easy to remove and clean in your washing machine.
