Eastern Palace Bedding Indigo

From a hand-drawn design by Zoffany collaborator, Sam Wilde, Eastern Palace elegantly represents the Japanese concept of fuubutsushi; a word unique to the Japanese language that means, 'The things - feelings, scents, images - that evoke memories or anticipation for a particular season.' Snaking its way through the design, a mysterious river unites Japan's four main islands, taking in palaces, temples and giant 'kamis' or spirits. Making its bedding debut, Eastern Palace is digitally printed on a luxurious 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen and is finished with cord piping. Available in double, king and super king sizes with Oxford and square Oxford pillowcases featuring the main design providing the perfect way to layer your traditional Japanese landscape theme. A white standard pillowcase with cord trim provides an elegant contrast. Add tactile layers with a lambswool throw and the Suzani cushion with its opulent motifs embroidered across a linen blend ground.
