Pinterest trends at Bedeck

More and more people are signing up to Pinterest to gain inspiration for food, fashion, lifestyle and interiors. As an online mood board, it’s natural that people would utilise Pinterest for inspiration for their interiors. Throughout the past year we have all been pinning massively on the interior front and Pinterest has analysed and predicted the top  Design trends for 2016 and here at Bedeck we have compiled a quick guide to creating these trends at home!

1) Scandinavian Inspired Design

This seems to be the biggest trend for 2016 and here at Bedeck we have a whole range dedicated to this simple and pared back elegance, Murmur.

2) Artisan Goods

The rustic look has made a huge comeback with people desiring homespun charm. Our range of homewares from Murmur ticks all these boxes.

3) Woven Wall Decor

Wall hangings are a bold and gorgeous choice, available in varying sizes and textures.  For our unique solution, try hanging our beautiful Murmur plates as a decorative focal point!

4) Gilded Luxe

Giving your interior a luxe accent is on the rise for 2016. This trend is highly attention grabbing, yet sophisticated. Gold details and accents are appearing all over in the latest design projects in warm gold, brass, and copper tones. Peacock Blue Hotel offer some gorgeously gilded sets.

5)

Placing a graphic pillow on your bed or sofa can really make a statement by tying a room together.  The key to this trend is adding graphic additions to a plain background.  Watch colours pop and schemes complete if you hit this one right! Scion has some beautiful graphic designs out for SS16.

6) Shades of Grey

Not a difficult one to have guessed, grey really is here to stay.  A quick glance over Pinterest’s many interior pins and grey really is a highlight.  Expect this to develop into strong inky blues for 2016, brave and bold, like this gorgeous Ziba from Bedeck 1951 or Boston Ivy by Clarissa Hulse in Sulphur.

7) Black, White and Organic Shades

According to Pinterest's stats the clean simplicity of these schemes can be so chic and elegant. The key is to contrast dark and light and play with interesting shapes making for a really stylish space, just like this playful Horseguard collection from Joules.

Many of Pinterest’s key influencers create a perfect black and white world allowing us to appreciate that minimal colour acts as the perfect canvas for stylish pieces and which really do captivate our attention.
