Bedeck Supports Emerging Talent at Texprint

Always seeking to support emerging talent, Bedeck recently sponsored Texprint.

Texprint mentors and promotes the UK’s most talented textile design graduates with the support of industry professionals worldwide, providing an opportunity for progression and development from higher education to the commercial world.

Those selected are introduced to buyers, press and sponsors at the Texprint London event and also at Europe and Asia's leading yarn and textile exhibitions.

Texprint invites tutors of all BA and MA textile design courses across the UK to nominate their most creative final year students who will graduate that summer. 

In June each year over 200 textile graduates are invited to attend interviews and show their portfolio’s, with just 24 student designers making the final shortlist.

Bedeck’s Head of Design, Julie Hall was added to this year’s judging panel and the company are also a major sponsor of the event .

With the selection process now completed it’s onto Paris for the award presentation on 16th September. Awards will be presented in three categories:

Presentation of the Texprint Awards for Colour, Fashion, Pattern and Interiors.

Presentation of The Woolmark Company Texprint Award.

The Miroglio Texprint Award for Digital Innovation

New for 2015, the Bedeck Texprint Design Award for Bed & Bath.  (The winner  will  enjoy  six  month’s  work  experience  in  the  Bedeck  Studio  as  well  as  a  cash  prize  of  £1,000)

The prize giving will take place on the 16th September and is followed by a reception for sponsors, press, buyers and guests.

Venue: Première Vision Designs, Hall 5, Première Vision Pluriel, Parc d'Expositions de Paris-Nord, Villepinte.
