Introducing Autumn / Winter 2016

"With the new collection, I wanted to encapsulate the spectacle and romance of the two distinctive cultures of Venice and Cuba.  For Altana and Alba, I explored the spirited, playful pageantry of the vibrant Carnevale Di Venezia.  Its dynamic energy combines with the classic architectural opulence of Venetian baroque decoration and style.  For Renata and Maloja, I was fascinated by the indefinable magic of Havana, with its crumbling splendour and abundance of warm spice shades and tropical allure”

Susan Burnett, Bedeck 1951 Designer

Maloja features a sumptuous combination of tribal and retro patterns in deep, moody blue and saturated sangria hues.  The rich, autumnal bedding is accompanied by a cotton quilted throw with a simple white chevron print and a bold chequered cushion with an intricate embroidery effect, lending a dressed-up bohemian vibe to the look. Maloja brings a quietly tropical glamour into the bedroom for a trendy, seasonal update.

An elaborate take on this year’s biggest trend, Renata combines a vivid botanical print and a colour palette of deep, inky indigo softened with natural linen shades.  Exuding the atmospheric charm of Cuba, the bedlinen is completed with an embroidered velvet cushion and a geometric floral quilt printed with a subtle metallic embellishment to bestow decadent allure on any bedroom.

Alba is a relaxed, decorative addition to the bedroom with the its striking colour palette that blends an intense calypso blue and fiery carnival red with more muted, earthy tones for a bold bedding design with contemporary style.  With its printed stripe and detailed pattern reverse, the bedlinen sits beautifully alongside the harlequin-embroidered cushion and decorative quilted throw for a modern take on a timeless bedding design.

Drawing inspiration from the elegance of Venetian baroque architecture, Altana makes a luxurious statement with its elegant geometric jacquard front.  The neutral monochrome colour palette is refreshed by delicate whispers of gold with a co-ordinating embroidered cushion for a sophisticated, contemporary bedding design. A cosy charcoal knit completes the stylish look.
